RecommendedI got stuck in Chicago the other day (I know, poor me) so I decided to take advantage of it. I'm a huge fan of Anthony Bourdain and he is how I knew of the Sweet Maple Cafe. Had The 18th Street, some really amazing cheddar grits, and lemon-blueberry pancakes. Ms. Twyla took great care of me and was a pleasure to meet. Please say hi for me and tell her I hope she had a blast in Memphis. The next time I find myself in Chicago, which will be very soon guaranteed, I will definitely go back to the Sweet Maple Cafe.

Biscuits are the bombdigity. Coffee was fresh and the omelettes were tasty. I'd like a little more salt though. Cute little shabby chic spot, and I hope I made those police officers feel appreciated. Thanks Shawn, you rock.
They’ve got the “BEST” homemade biscuits and applesauce, I make sure to get them both every time I go!
Absolutely wonderful food. Very clear everything is made fresh, and the flavors different and surprising in the best way. Love the homey feel on the inside as well! Very genuinely friendly staff too. Will definitely be back.

Our first visit here, service was prompt and cordial! Very polite and our food was not only FAST, but HOT, PLENTY and VERY DELICIOUS!! I have local eateries that this place would put to shame, bcuz they seemed very much like a down home cooked meals served with a smile and not skimpy for the price! Will return to eat there in the future! Thank you for treating us to your fine dining experience!!
