Almost my whole experience there at Swedish Medical Center (over 3 weeks long) was horrible. I would not recommend them unless you are out of all other options. Personnel management is non-existent, it took over 24 hours to get a proper bed for me, there was construction going on at 2am on Sunday, one of the CNA's was practically suicidal during her shift (which I reported to no avail). Some of the staff were outstanding individuals...I.E RN Stephan, Housekeeping Abraham, and a couple of others.
RecommendedMy son was born here in 2010. I have also had 4 major surgeries here and I was always well taken care of.
The Neurological staff was amazing! During the 9 days my dad was here, he was tended by probably (at least) 10 doctors, 30 nurses and aids (including Neuro ICU and otherwise). There was only 1 bad apple in that bunch. Everybody else was tremendous! Friendly, willing to communicate with family, knowledgeable, and - did I mention -friendly?! A special thanks to RN Jamie and RN Maeve, Brittni, among other names that I have unfortunately forgotten (too much going on at the time). The labor and delivery staff along with the nurses in the family place has really excelled since last year, I'm not sure who was directing everything when i had my daughter but things have certainly gotten better, I just had a c-section Thursday and am already walking around almost like new. Thank you!
