The doctors, nurses and staff are so compassionate and empathetic. They are constantly asking how the patients are doing and what more they can do to make them feel better.

When I asked for a referral to the Anxiety Specialists in Seattle, his response was, "I can write a referral letter, but I don't know what the reason would be."! Then he proceeded to say they have a psychologist "in house" that can help. She may be a good one, but I have GAD and wanted to see anxiety specialists. Anything I wanted a referral f... read more

my second child to be born at 1st hill swedish, best staff on the planet
I was in Emergency Department at Swedish First Hill on Wednesday night. The medical care was great; top notch. However this place is DANGEROUS. It’s well known that Seattle has residents with both psychiatric illness and drug addiction. Unlike every other ED in Seattle this hospital has no meaningful security. They have no metal detectors and no real police. The few “security officers“ they have are clueless. I was seriously hurt and in a wheelchair: my husband was standing b...Continue Reading

I was referred to Swedish by my primary care doctor at Bellevue Family Medicine after struggling with positive H Pylori results over the course of several months. I was first set up to meet Dr Mack who was kind but also extremely sick that day. She was unable to examine me because she was so ill herself, coughing, sneezing and struggling. She asked me several questions about my symptoms and decided to refer me to get an Endoscopy. 2 weeks after that, I was back at Swedish at ...Continue Reading
