What’s going on Swedish?!? My 74 year old mother was in your care for 5 days. During her time there, neither her room nor bathroom was cleaned on a regular basis. Not only that but when she when she was choking, NO ONE in the room attempted to help her, they stood there as of nothing was happening. An nurse had to come from all the way down the hall to perform the Heimlich to clear her airways. Why, when there were 6 nurses already in the room at the time?? Since when are nurses forbidden to help patients in distress while t... read more

Swedish hospital has my cousin there against her will and is going against her wishes. They are listening to her abusive husband which she’s trying to divorce and they’re denying her everything she requests, like wanting a holistic therapy. They’ve barred her mom (a registered nurse) from helping her any further. They have her on a psychiatric hold and anything she says is deemed “crazy”. They have also denied her a social worker. She’s battling cancer and they’ve denied her everything and any day could be her last, they are... read more

As a feminist and a single mother I was appalled by the systemic sexism at Swedish! I was held at the front door for almost 20 minutes while they decided if I was going to be allowed to have my blood drawn with my daughter in tow. Perhaps it is a news flash that the schools and childcare centers are closed. This policy disproportionately affects single women and should be illegal. I wasn’t even offered an apology. I hope they get sued.

I was treated at the Swedish Ballard ER last week after a bike accident. I told the Drs and Nurses about the pain I was experiencing in my leg and they told me that it "probably" wasn't broken and that I didn't need an X-ray. They gave me 1 Advil for pain and didn't offer me crutches or a wheel chair to leave the hospital. I had to ask for the crutches and the Advil btw. Now here I am a week later in more pain than when I left the hospital. I called the ER to see if my current pain levels were normal and was told by the nurs... read more

We are currently having issues with Dr. Shaikh in the palliative care group. We have insisted that we would like to keep our loved one Gabriela Gladwell on the ventilator (she has a small chance for some form of recovery), since her heart, and brain are 100% and her lungs are still pushing through. Dr. Shaikh insists that he is not pushing an agenda to cut her off, yet he keeps pushing to disconnect her. A little empathy from the hospital my sister admired would be great. She’s had her cough for over a year and was not diagn... read more

I had a terrible experience at the Mill Creek location. Reported the nurse to the charge nurse who then removed him from my room. Still shocked by the amount of disrespect, & rudeness during a already difficult time for me. He brushed off my problems, and when I stated the walk-in turned me away & the pharmacist recommended the ER due to the medications i was on for my condition & the dose. the nurses response was “A pharmacist isn’t a Dr.” While rolling his eyes. I was experiencing a lot of shortness of breathe due to my co... read more

After spending 21 days in the hospital and not one single bad experience tells a lot about the hospital, staff, nurses and Doctors. I can say not only did Swedish save my life but also a pleasant experience while I was there for myself and my family.
