Traditional therapy was painful for my kiddo with ADHD. They would lay on the floor of the therapist office and kick until the session was over. Repeated weeks of this was clearly not doing anything. I just have to say, Dr. Sussman has been an absolute godsend. He’s so kind, funny, and makes everything feel easier for the kids—and for us as parents. He knows how to grab the kids’ attention in such a positive way, and his approach takes a lot of the worry off our shoulders. Finding him has truly been one of the best things that’s happened for our son and our family.
We’re very grateful for our son’s experience with Dr. Steve. We feel that he has learned to cope much better and it’s also very helpful for the children in the group to learn from each other’s experiences. Our son has developed a much different perspective on many aspects since working with Dr. Steve in his sessions. Dr. Steve has a very novel and unique approach to treating complex kiddos. Our daughter has multiple challenging diagnoses and has been very resistant to any kind of talk therapy despite the fact her behaviors have been excessive and concerning. We started seeing Dr. Steve when our son was 15 years old due to his ADHD and ODD diagnosis. Dr. Steve is not your ordinary out of the box usual therapist you will find out there. His method is unorthodox but the only therapy that ever worked for our son. Dr. Steve cares about his clients. Dr. Steve is always available; you can call him any time, even on weekends. Dr. Steve will make himself available. He is funny, and he uses his unique techniques to motivate the children to want to do better.
