Sushi-sake Japanese Restaurant

4.4

About this business

Owner Takashi Soda opened SushiSake in 1997. New customers consistently join longtime clientele in visiting this superb sushi bar. Mr. Soda's meal preparation approach is assertive, and a host of chefs behind the counter reflect his attitude. This stunning spot draws North Dallas nightlife with its traditional Japanese ambiance. House specialties are Toro, Broiled Eel and Spicy Tuna Roll. As the name implies, sake is very important at Sushisake. Premium sakes are always featured items. A full bar is also available.

Best Sushi in the metroplex. Small quaint atmosphere reminds me of Japan. Soda-san always takes great care and knows exactly what to make everytime I request omakase.

Business response:

There's some great sushi around here, Corey, so I'm thrilled that we made your favorites list. It's always a pleasure to see you in, so I hope you'll come back again soon! -Takashi, Owner

Always enjoyed it here until I got a spicy tuna roll tasting only avocado and my wife had a California roll also tasting like avocado!! After complaining, a VERY rude manager tried to justify the rolls instead of owning up to it. I'd rather go to Mr. Sushi in Addison which I'll give 5 stars. Sushi Sake used be close, but after this last experience I'll will never go back.

Business response:

I apologize about any miscommunication, Bo. We do use fresh avocados in the California roll, so we're sorry if there was any mix-up in your order. We would love to have you back to prove this isn't a daily occurrence. -Takashi, Owner

I have eaten sushi, one of my favorite meals, in Japan, Hawaii, the West Coast, New York, and Texas. This is the only sushi restaurant that compares to Japanese ones. Outstanding!
