This place is awesome!!! – Wow I can't believe this place got a bad rating by at least one person. This place is "everyone-friendly". I highly recommend this place for a casual dinner with family or even a dinner with your coworkers. Bentos are delicious as well as the other dishes served by both sushi bar and the kitchen. I also noticed that phone number is wrong up there. It should be 425-576-1743. So if you guys had problem with that number above like I have, please use the number I have put here.
"Child-unfriendly"? GREAT!!!! – Thank you, "bellevueyu," for writing your review! If I'm ever out in the Seattle area, I will definitely to go Sushi In Joy...and I don't even like sushi! I'm really sick of "parents" who think their children sh1t gold bullion disrupting meals at nice restaurants. Maybe you should have taken your Widdle Pweshus outside to calm it down, instead of parading it through the narrow spaces between the tables and sticking its diapered butt in other patrons' faces. Oh, but then that would deprive you ... read more
A child UNFRIENDLY restaurant in Bellevue - RUN!!! – DO NOT visit this restaurant if you have kids or if you dare to stand up duirng your meal. My family and I went to this restaurant today (Sep. 1st 2006) and I had a HORRIFIED experience. I was asked by the sushi chef to sit down when I had to get up and walked my 3-month old son a bit (less than 2 min, I swear) to prevent him from crying at the restaurant. I was only standing next to my table!!! The sushi chef said that I was bothering other customers when there was only a... read more
Hidden Gem! – I love, Love, LOVE Sushi In Joy. Their tempura and terriyaki are the best in town. The small touches are what make this place great. Like a brush of lemon on the ebi - excellent! Tucked behind a gas station and next to a liquor store, you'd never imagine this kind of quality in a strip mall. But believe it! Prices are very reasonable for sushi.
Best bento, lunch and dinner! – I've never been so satisfied by such a makunouchi bento! It has everything! You can literally share that for two! Sashimi, sushi, katsu, tempura, teriyaki...the works! Their lunch special is also awesome, good taste and value. Dinner is on the pricey end though.
