I had a prolapsed rectum- common. Laser surgery that didn’t last. Scheduled regular surgery, and she had me see a gun surgeon, who, of course, thought I needed his surgical work too. A disaster- the whole mess got infected, I had a wound vac (basically a large, open wound connected to a drainage machine)for more than 4 months. At the time she told me that “I wound always have difficulty having a bowel movement “ what?? I was too wiped out at the time to ask more questions. And a couple of years later was hospitalized (mid-Co... read more
Colorectal cancer stage 4 , survival 21 years and more !! Great great job Dr Sgambati ! You are the best of the best! Thank you ????
RUN RUN RUN!!!!!Susan is an UNSKILLEDsurgeon! Surgery she performed 2 procedures and BOTH FAILED. She denied it for a year ignoring me-until she no longer could Instead of saying let’s do this again, she got angry started screaming at me insulting me.
Compassionate, highly skilled, listens - highly recommend!
Dr.Sgambati is absolutely the best Physician that I've been treated by. I highly recommend her.
I've been seeing Dr. Sgamboti since 2008. She eased my concerns for my first appointment and impending surgery. She has always been friendly, caring and kind at each of my return checkups. I just had my 5 year colonoscopy in Sept. 2018. I will continue to see her for any colon/rectal as long as she is practicing.
I liked her personally, but my experience with her was such a disaster I would not recommend her. One problem led to another- never any acknowledgment if mistakes were made, and the result was 100 times worse than the medical condition I originally saw her for. I could not recommend her. I regret seeing her in the first place. There were 3 surgeries altogether- 2 fallout from the first, and 4 plus months on a Wound Vac.Financially and emotionally devastating. Now have lifelong bowel problems
Dr. Sgambati did 3 surgeries on me at Rose Medical Center in the span of 2 years. The first surgery was my first ever surgery and I was scared and so was my mom. She made an appointment to come to my hospital room and meet with both of us. She explained the procedure and what the follow up procedures were. She has always been incredibly compassionate and understanding. I've been hospitalized for GI issues that didn't require surgery but she still stopped by my room to see how I was doing.
I have always been treated by Dr. Sgambati with the utmost professionalism and sincerity by a specialist, other than a gp. Dr. Sgambati explains everything thoroughly, and with compassion and a sense of humor.
