I’ve ALWAYS LIVED THIS PLACE. Stayed here many many times over the years. They have done quite a lot of updating in the last year. We always stay at either the surf rider or surftides. Don’t think I’ll ever stay at surftides again....made reservations even called to confirm a few days in advance (check in time is 4pm) and they gave our room away by 408pm on Memorial Day weekend. No frills in this dated resort with a perfect location. The staff is spectacular as is the view. It is difficult to find hotels with a lanai but not only does the Surfrider have them,but they are large. Our room was clean, bright and had someupdating. We had a microwave, pretty large fridg, comfortable leather chair, small table and 2 chairs and a gas fireplace. RecommendedThe hotel was nice and clean. Awesome view. Food was good but pricey and wait staff are not very attentive. We ordered dinner to go and waited 20 mins but the food was already sitting on the counter for about 10 mins. Then breakfast buffet, we were charge one too many. Restaurant staff may need more training related to customer service. ✌🏻Will stay at the hotel again but not eat there.
A bit pricey for what you get. The restaurant was over priced, terrible service, and the food wasnt very good. Will not be back.

this review is for the Easter Brunch. The worst buffet ever. Did not taste good. Everything was cold except the fruit which was warm.
The staff and location are excellent! The room was on the dated side, but very clean and comfortable. My only negative is the noise from other rooms. I realize there is little that can be done about that, but it did detract a bit. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and had a very good meal at a reasonable price. The view from there is amazing!
