Booked a $100 room over the phone 8 hours in advance and paid in full. When we arrived, we were told we had to pay an *additional* $100 simply because my girlfriend—who hasn’t lived in Rolla for over a year—still has a local address on her ID, despite us providing other documentation showing our current out-of-town address. None of this was mentioned during booking. No refund. No room. Just a demand to pay over $200 for a subpar hotel. We stayed in July. The air conditioner is lackluster at best. Barely anything is coming out of it. When we complained to the staff, they said that all the air conditioners work that way, and that it has to be capped within a three or four degree working range of the ambient temperature, or the compressor will freeze. Which entirely obviates the entire point of the bloody air conditioner. So we are going to have a very hard time sleeping here tonight. Based on this experience alone, I am never ever considering a Super 8 ever ... read more
