This clinic has a great staff and doctors. Everyone is very friendly and really cares about all our pets. They always recognize us and have taken care of all our pets, keeping them healthy and happy. I would recommend this place to everyone who has a pet they love.
I feel so badly about this place - first let me say . . a great group of people there and wonderful doctors. But for some reason they are continually under construction and it makes the place look trashy. I was in there and some man was working in the reception area with a shop vac! and the poor little girl was trying to check people out and was tripping over the man, vac and extension cord! Wouldn't change a thing! My husband and I have two Great Danes. Sunshine Animal was recommended to us by the breeder of our male. I can't image taking our babies anywhere else. Our babies are now both eight (the male is going on 9). I know that without Dr. Mike & Dr. Fransca, their lifespan would not be as good. They have seen us from the minor monthly shots to the major surgery for cysts (a common Great Dane ailment). Our dogs are our life. The best I have read other reviews and i am confused. I love these people. I have a pet bunny that I think the world of. He was sick and i made a phone call and they asked when I could get there. I live two hours away and they stayed open for me to get there. They took Harley (the sick bunny) in and took care of him. I have spent money with this vet but how much is your pet worth to you. A little of both This is a great vet that specializes in odd pets. I have had 2 pet rats for about a year, and when they would get sick (and rats get sick all the time) they were always helpful and quick to get us in. Now, there are two vets at this location, and both are very different. One of the two is amazing (Dr Myra or something like that) and the other is terrible (I dont remember her name at all). There are only a few vets in this area that work with exotics. The two at Sunshine are by far the BEST! They know the various species, and how to care for them and they do care. I don't know the experience of the other reviewer, but I'm guessing they have a dog or something. I live in Nixa and take my dogs to a vet in Nixa, but I would never take my ferret, guinea pig or any other exotic that comes into our home to any other vet in Springfield or Nixa. These ladies are just far more knowledgeable and helpful.
Overcharged!! They seem to be good with animals, however every single time you come to their office, (even for a follow up) they charge you a full price office visit, (even when they are just taking another blood sample) they also charge WAY too much for medicine. I was charged 83$ for 42 pills of 125mg of clavamox and I called my previous vet and they told me their price was only $50 and I just checked on petmeds.com and they only charge $38!!
I went there for a second opinion and i don't remeber her name but she was not a very good dr. I was in the room waiting for her and you can hear through the walls, and she was next door talking about her childeren, i was left waiting in the room for 10 min past my app. time. then not only was she slow, but it seemed like she was very demening to her staff. acting and speaking like it was their fault that she was behind when i could hear what was going on. that poor girl she was very nice (her assistant) in saying that she w... read more
