Great vet! This office is very pet and people friendly. They have been taking care of our 2 cats and our iguana for as long as I can remember. I fell that they are a good deal for the money. Anytime there has been an emeregency with our iguana (he's gotten dealthy ill a few times) they have been able to sqeeze us in right away and charge a reasonable amount. A little of both This is a great vet that specializes in odd pets. I have had 2 pet rats for about a year, and when they would get sick (and rats get sick all the time) they were always helpful and quick to get us in. Now, there are two vets at this location, and both are very different. One of the two is amazing (Dr Myra or something like that) and the other is terrible (I dont remember her name at all). okay with animals, not so great with people Some vets are good with animals and people, but this vet was really not that great with either. She doesn't seem to care that much about the animals and she is definitely lacking tact and general politeness with the humans that bring their animals in. I would not recommend this vet hospital to anyone. There are many other very qualified vets in the area, so skip this one and find someone else to take your pets to. Overcharged!! They seem to be good with animals, however every single time you come to their office, (even for a follow up) they charge you a full price office visit, (even when they are just taking another blood sample) they also charge WAY too much for medicine. I was charged 83$ for 42 pills of 125mg of clavamox and I called my previous vet and they told me their price was only $50 and I just checked on petmeds.com and they only charge $38!!
Wouldn't change a thing! My husband and I have two Great Danes. Sunshine Animal was recommended to us by the breeder of our male. I can't image taking our babies anywhere else. Our babies are now both eight (the male is going on 9). I know that without Dr. Mike & Dr. Fransca, their lifespan would not be as good. They have seen us from the minor monthly shots to the major surgery for cysts (a common Great Dane ailment). Our dogs are our life. The best I have read other reviews and i am confused. I love these people. I have a pet bunny that I think the world of. He was sick and i made a phone call and they asked when I could get there. I live two hours away and they stayed open for me to get there. They took Harley (the sick bunny) in and took care of him. I have spent money with this vet but how much is your pet worth to you. recently my daughter, whom is attending college in Springfield, had to leave her cat with her Dad, by the time we got back to pick the cat up he was in bad shape, when she arrived back here I was not sure if the cat would survive. I called around to all animal vets. finally took the cat to this place, the staff was awesome, friendly, concerned, got us in immediately, kept the cat , called us regularly for update, and as of today her cat is doing GREAT. What great place! I found an injured baby bird in my backyard and I had to go on a wild goose chase to find a place that would help it. Every other place absolutely refused to take in a wild bird and offered little help to my situation. Sunshine Animal Hospital was very helpful and friendly to me and really took care of the little bird I brought in!
