Don't forget to visit Chopra Center and spa – Rooms were small, but it is NYC and space is hard to come by. The door men are super helpful. If you go you must visit to the new Chopra Spa! I had a one hour facial and then used their UDI room where you have a private steam room with a separate shower area which includes salt scrubs and an imported red clay body mask. I found out that you can book up to 4 persons party (gonna be an easy Valentine's gift activity to do).
really great hotel – had an amazing stay. love the new lobby really elegant wood paneled walls really sophisticated without being stuffy. room could use a bit of a freshening up but supposedly there are new renopvated rooms (I had an old one). overall fantastic experience. great food great service gorgeous hotel in perfect location.
Charming and Elegant – Although they are remodeling, the lobby and restaurant of this elegant landmark are ready to be enjoyed. They seem to have recaptured that longed-for 1930's feeling with warm and glamorous Art Deco style which includes cozy fireplaces and fresh flowers. beware – A great art-deco hotel in Hollywood's hey-day that has turned into a modern nightmare. The new owner remodeled the lobby with fake wood panneling and took out the art-deco charm and character. The rooms are disgusting. When I booked the room I was told there was a fitness center and when I arrived it was being remodeled and I had to pay for a gym pass. Awesome place to party – We had a company party there last night and I had more fun there than I've had in a really long time. The lounge and pool area are elegantly designed with a great view of the city from the pool side. The Argyle is located in a very hip part of West Hollywood, with crowd to match. Service is top-notch and the rooms have very large, wide windows and are meticulously decorated with a very clean and modern style. The water pressure in the shower is awesome.
