In March of 1986, Bob Menendez and his wife Beverly bought Sunset 44, which already had been operating for 25 years, from his friend Pete Nicolaisen Jr., son of the original owner. I've been meaning to try this restaurant for years. Wish I hadn't waited so long. This may be my new favorite restaurant. The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. All six in our party thoroughly enjoyed our dinners and will return.
