Sunny Coast Veterinary came highly recommended from trusted acquaintances when I was at a loss with what seemed like chronic lameness issues with my gelding. My 10 year old healthy mare acutely went down at 9 pm. I attempted to call my normal vet and 2 others with no answer, so I reached a point of desperation and was calling any vet I could get out to help her. I was told the vet would arrive in 30 mins. Sunny coast Veterinary found me during a hectic and worrisome situation for me and my horse. Dr. Carla quickly addressed my worries and helped settle them. I can literally pick up my phone, text her and get almost immediate responses. She and Dr. Hodge are so knowledgeable and extremely thorough. Answering any and every question I have. Taking time to ease my mind. My horse and animals are like my children and they treat them as such. Like family. I will forever use Dr. Carla and Dr. Hodge.
They have wonderful service, and are very kind, helpful and went above and beyond my expectations. Being fairly new to the horse world everyday is a learning experience, and I felt very at ease with the whole experience! I highly recommend, and will be a continued client!
I’m very pleased with Dr.Scott. He diagnosed an ongoing lameness in my mare. His knowledge, and caring attitude put me at ease and his treatment was exemplary. My mare is moving better then she has in years, I’m very relieved and happy!
This veterinary team is outstanding. They were able to fix my horses COPD with accupuncture in a very short period of time indeed. I read up extensively and got other viewpoints which all pointed to a traditional perspective of "nothing can be done, .....give dex". Carla was positive from the outset and tremendously effective. The team also take a proactive approach rather than reactive which is a breath of fresh air.
I was extremely pleased with the thoroughness of Dr. Kurtz. After losing my last horse to heart issues along with other items not being properly evaluated as well as being a small animal nurse for 9 years, I genuinely appreciated that their team started with obtaining a detailed history, basic vitals and a good physical exam on my healthy horse. She took the time to answer my questions as well as providing me with the knowledge to make an informed decision. I would recommend this skilled team hands down.
