Was denied rental of their equipment because of uneducated safety supervisor not understanding difference between GVWR and GCWR. I have a 2020 Dodge Ram 3500 6.7L HO Cummings SRD with a tandem axle dully gooseneck trailer. GVWR for truck is 12,300lbs and 20,000lbs for trailer. Equipment renting was 16,000lbs. He said that equipment was over my truck GVWR. That is definitely true but he should have been taking GCWR (combined). GVWR (truck) + GVWR (trailer) - truck current weight.
