I have been under pain management since 2012 when I began having low back and sacroiliac joint pain. I underwent surgeries in 2014, 2015 and 2019, each one made me worse than before, with the last making me bedridden and wheelchair bound. I've been under the care of no less than 7 pain management providers over the last 13 years. I left some providers due to their office closing, and others due to rudeness and treating their patients like drug addled individuals instead of patients in pain who are suffering. 3/19/24- I was prescribed Hydrocode 5mg by my primary care physician for cervical and thoracic pain. Given that I had a history of degenerative disc disease, a spinal fusion of C5-C6 in 2021 and recent thoracic and cervical pain, which was worsening regardless of recent 8 week physical therapy, imaging, and neurology visits. Apparently not having an MD on staff means the Hippocratic Oath is optional. Chronic pain management here means PT, massage and acupuncture and if you expect medication (even if you’ve had a prescription for years), you’re treated like a criminal. Treatment means submitting to a $200 office visit every 28 days, plus $100 random pill count (mandatory within the next 2 hours after a phone call) and a $500 drug test. Most of the staff is friendly but I just don’t like being treated as if I’m stupid. I know my pain but it’s like a certain person won’t listen to what I’m saying
