I have been meaning to put this out here for quite a while. My wife was a patient of the Oncology Department as her Dr W was a part of Overlook Hospital. Our local Doctor thought it would be best for her to see Dr. W. So after 2 days, no Dr W. So as her husband I called Dr W at Summit Health to see if and when he will go see her. Summit Medical Group used to be a proud network of independent doctors dedicated to patient care and positive health outcomes. Now, it is a giant corporate clusterf*%k. Instead of staying independent, CEO Jeff Le Benger sold it to a private equity fund and merged it with CityMD, and they in turn were acquired by a group of investors including Walgreens (the proud pharmacy that gave $140 million to Theranos). This place does not respect your privacy, they ask you to update your personal information before your visit, then after you tell them you already updated all your information, they repeat it back to you with a lobby full of patients they have no respect for your privacy. Not the smartest bunch of people.
SO UNPROFESSIONAL The doctor is racist, he made me feel really uncomfortable. He mocked my questions I asked him. He’s not informative or helpful at all. I’ve never experienced a doctor like this, he started to cut me off when I ask for clarity on understanding. The Urology dept and their masters in the Anesthesia dept are an uncaring lot. They put me in danger and then canceled my procedure.
The doctors are not the reason for my 1 star...they were great!!! SUMMIT HEALTHS BILLING are crooks & if you don't keep record of your payments & copy of cleared checks be assured SUMMIT HEALTH will rob you. My daughter had an out patient same day procedure June 2022, my 1st bill came in July 2022 & I made a payment followed by 2 separate payments in Aug. 2022. My Aug. 2022 statement did not reflect the payment made July 2022 nor the payment sent early August 2022. Which made me call to follow up... of course on hold for ove... read more
They used to be a great healthcare company. Now they shuffle patients in and out, overbook them and make everyone sit in waiting rooms upwards of 2 hours waiting for a 10 minute doctor visit. I recently contacted the Opthalmology Department, now located in New Providence, NJ across the road from their Berkeley Heights headquarters and spoke with an Amy, who informed me that the next eye exam availability is in March 2023. The neurology dept is terrible. My Dad was seen on 7/25 went back on 7/26 to drop off some forms for being out of work and I called 8/3 to see if they were completed and I was told they were ready when we got there they were not but my fault I didn’t get a name of the person I spoke to. It doesn’t take that long to fill out those forms🤬🤬🤬🤬
The lovely PA who treated me was wonderful. I was told to visit my own doctor for a CT scan. Unfortunately my Doc was out of town and advised me to ask Summit Medical to write a prescription. I went back and a very rude receptionist barked that they do not do that and obviously my Doctor had no clue about the running of their establishment. I left disappointed.
