Summerfield Apartments was the perfect place for a college student. I lived in Summerfield while I was going to Pitt State and loved it. My unit was very nice, clean, and quiet. I do remember the train, but after living there for about a week, you dont even notice it going by...(no idea why some of the other reviewers had such a problem with it.) DO NOT RENT HERE! Here are my reasons: 1. The train goes by several times a day and blows it horn, even at night. Sometimes things fall off the wall.2. You may spend 12 hours (which I did) cleaning the apartment when you are through, but you will not get your deposit back. I lived in this apartment with my baby. They said we tore it up.3. They promised us a pool and laundry facility and thats why we moved in. They hadnt even started construction on it when we left, two years later.4. Amy is a rip. Well, the kids moved out and we did a very good job of cleaning and still got charged...because they were having to paint some. Oh boy...Flat paint really cost doesnt it? Glad they are out of there!

Im glad that there is growth in pittsburg and think that its good for more housing to be near psu,and wish them all the best.
This place is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! When it came time to move out I completely cleaned the entire apartment and still got charged. They didnt let us have a walk through and we had to pay for damage the previous tenants had caused! It was total crap. And they promsied us a pool, laundry facility, and fitness center which we never got and its now 2 years later and they still havent even started it. They are a bunch of liars who are only out to take advantage of people.
