No way I'd stay here again! My key was left in an envelope on the front counter, there was no one coming when the front desk bell rang, no instruction where to park (which caused me to get a parking ticket), there was sand in the bed already when we got there.
We booked a reservation while on the beach at 2:00 in the afternoon. We showed up at 5, and waited in the lobby for a half hour. No one behind the desk. Rang the bell over and over. Called every number listed on the business card and web site. No answer. All mailboxes full. No one ever came to the front desk. Finally went back to my email after a half hour and saw they cancelled our reservation at 4:30 over a credit card glitch. This place is horrible over priced and manger was rude ..... walked out in the morning in boxer shorts shirt. To let him know of issues about room. To be told he doesn’t know and about it, because he doesn’t stay in them ! Wtf !!! AC was all ducted tape and mold on the slats of it , smoke detector was hanging by the wires ( not sure if it worked). Sheets had stains on it. Tv was nothing but blurry. Paid all but 400. And lost half of it because we left. Not happy at all. Right person could make this a beautiful place to stay.
Neither AC worked which sucks in 95° weather, bath faucet moved around in wall, futon was broken, no parking. Positive: close to beach, no bugs.
RecommendedMy friend and I stayed here a few days this week and had a great time. All hotel staff were very friendly and helpful in providing information about parking and such. The room was small but so was the rate, everything was clean and comfortable. A block from the beach - can't be beat. Thank you Summer Place Hotel for helping us enjoy a great mini-vacation!!!
It's your typical close to the beach apartment.Its not Trump towers & and the contractors where paid who built the place.You get what you pay for.However we've never encountered bedbugs as one lady with an agenda seems to............. In ocean city this 50 room would have cost you 120.......... Have fun
The guest house style hotel rates a 3 after averaging the ascetics with the atmosphere and location. Just returned from a 3 day stay that was delightful. If you are the type of person that needs to stay at a chain hotel you should stay at Hampton Inn. If you are ok with a rustic shore location that is in the heart of Rehoboth, is moderately priced, clean and has a very nice staff. This is a great place.
