I met with Dr. Andrew Martin at summa vascular clinic. Dr. Martin refused to do vascular testing because of an iodine allergy. He said no other alternative dye was available (not true). He told me he believed I had lymphedema and possibly raynauds phenomenon. I questioned the lymphedema and he seemed quite sure that's what it was. I later left summa altogether and was told by several doctors he made no mention of lymphedema in his workup. I was basically seen over the phone by the office personel in scheduling. An 8 min conversation basically telling me I either needed surgery or compression socks and if It was the latter then I shouldn't be seen. I had to explain my issues and what my doctor wanted me to be seen for. My family doctor felt it was important enough to be seen by the specialist, not questioned and notes reviewed by the office staff. It made me very uncomfortable so I declined to be seen. Dr. Petrinec is an excellent surgeon and a caring doctor. He is my mother's doctor and explains things in easy terms and is very patient.
