Obnoxious and arrogant. Never mentioned not to wear my contacts for two weeks before visit and then tried to turn 1 visit into 2. Tried to blame my optometrist for not telling me what his office should have
He did a cataract extraction on both eyes and now my left eye is worse than before surgery and my right eye still needs a correction. I would have thought that he could get at least one eye correct. He didn’t. I used some of the other reviews to select this doctor and I am sorry I did. Reviews don’t always show the whole picture, and I will do more research next time.
We show up to an appointment only to be told we can't be seen. We were also allowed to make the appointment a week in advance. No one ever called us to inform us that we so called had a balance. Someone from the office called to confirm the appointment, yet again no one mentioned anything about a balance. This is very bad practice, to allow the patient to show up to an appointment and be embarrassed, say you can't be seen today. Also when we look on the web portal it states our balance is zero. DO NOT use Dr. Kanakamedala folks! Very arrogant & rude for a Dr.! My son got a BAD laceration of the cornea @ work & was sent to her. He had pefect 20/20 vision before injury,has been seen 4X's,& she washes her hands clean even tho he has IMMENSE blurriness still. She told him his next step is to get a pic taken & then set up for glasses! Complete RIDICULOUSNESS & UNEXCEPTABLE!! There's obviously scar tissue, so prey tell us how glasses are going to help him see. He needs Laser Surgery & she knows it! Don't use her @ all!
Dr. Sumit K. Gupta is the best eye doctor I know. He did both of my eyes for cataract surgery. He is very professional but still listens to my concerns and needs. I would recommend him to anyone if you have a eye problem. He knows what he is doing and cares. Thank you, Dr. Gupta
I have had three procedures done by Dr. Gupta, and I trust his knowledge and ability to handle all my eye problems. He gives thorough exams and explanations, and his staff is pleasant and helpful. I hope to be able to continue under his care.
Made an appointment for a food allergy scratch test. Got to my visit and the doctor said they don’t test for food allergies and charged me $209 consultation fee. The practice is deceptive and I was taken advantage of.
