If this story is true, I hope that you seek counseling. I also hope that you never have to deal with a doctor with the closed mindedness that you seem to posses. I recommend that you go to the next NDSC Conference to learn a little bit of the community that you seemed to have outraged by your words and actions. Next, I would find out how you can start giving back to this great community.
Terrible!! My daughter was born with Down's, and today when her mother took her to a new doctor for her thyroid, she was told "I don't work on pets and I don't talk with their owners"! When this was said she turned around and started to walked out when he told his receptionist "I'm not a veterinarian".

I read a post today on fb and then called his office to confirm if true. The receptionist did not deny the doctor's actions. He called a baby with Down syndrome a "pet" and her mother the "owner". How arrogant, rude, and unprofessional. He should lose his licence over this!!
