Great Steak....ok everything else – We had a reservation for 7pm....they didn't seat us until 7:30. The menu seemed kind of limited and the appetizers were blah. The main course came a bit late but the steak (a porterhouse) was fantastic...one of the best I've had. It's not the most romantic place around, it's very bright, very open, and very noisy.
A++ – Last night was my first trip to Sullivan's and my boyfriend and I LOVED it. We didn't have reservations when we arrived at 8:30 p.m. so we had drinks at the bar where we enjoyed a variey of summer martinis surrounded by dark wood, perfect lighting and nice jazz/piano music. After about 30 minutes were seated and dinner was amazing! My filet was perfection and their horseraddish mashed potatos are worth the trip! Woah – Maybe it was an off night but it was way off! We had a reservation for 8:30pm and we were not seated until after 9:30pm. We ordered the famous mashed potatoes and they ran out. How does a steak house run out of mashed potatoes? I ordered a 12oz filet medium as did my friend and it was charred on the outside. I hope that you have a better experience than I did.
Mmmmm...steak! – I tend to lead a vegeterian lifestyle as I hate to handle meat, but occasionally i thoroughly enjoy a nite out at a steakhouse and this place really did it for me! I had a great steak and the side dishes were huge! I recommend it.
Embarrassing Evening – We took a business associate from Paris here last night. They didn't have a table ready for our reservation then took us to a table where people were sitting. Then the hostess just left us standing there until a manger asked us if we were okay (we were discussing leaving and going to different restaurant). Our waitress kept talking about the "Friends" finale and was very immature and silly. Run to Sullivan's. – I went to Sullivan's for my first time over this weekend. I cannot tell you how much I love this place. From the moment I pulled up to receiving my coats, the ENTIRE staff was very welcoming. The food WOW. It was so tasty, so incredible. The timing on bringing each appetizer, entree, etc to our table was perfect. What a great, no rush meal. Go and have a great time....
Date night – My wife and I had a taste for a steak, but wanted to try someplace new, so we checked out SULLIVANS. We found it to be a quaint place for dinner, the staff was extremely nice and attentative to us. We both ordered steak, which i am sorry to say after eating at Mortons, Capitol Grill, and Ruth Chris. This place fell way short, my wife and I agree we have eaten better steaks, and side dishes @ those other resturaunts. The steaks at OUTBACK had more flavor and bigger portions for half the price. Sullivan's:Great Food with Great Service – I have had dinner at Sullivan's several times. Sometimes with reservations and sometimes without...and always on a Fri or Sat night. Rarely have i had to wait...and if i did...it was not long. This is a popular place for a REASON...therefore it is busy, vivacious, and a fun place for people of all ages.
