Dr. Borra was the rudest doctor I have ever been to. When I tried to explain to her what my problem was and where the pain was in my leg, she told me to hurry up, that she didn't have time to hear all that. She cut me off several times, seemed to have no interest in my medical condition and in my opinion has no business being a doctor with her nasty attitude.
The doctor seemed knowledgeable. She gave a helpful tip that did not require medication. So that was a plus. However, although she was nice, while I was speaking to her she would cut me off. This is very rude. I am not a long winded person I was simply answering her question. Obviously she is not a good listener. She also told me that we had to hurry through the appointment because she had 6 patients waiting outside as if this was my fault. I also had to wait almost an hour before I was able to see her. The office is overboo... read more
Long wait times
Secretaries are the worst. They would lose payment and insurance prior authorizations. I would have to call 14 times in a week for a simple medication authorization to be completed. No communication.
I went on August 3rd to get a nerve test on my arm. I told her after the test that I had an appointment with my doctor on August 9 to go over the results. She said I would have the results the following day and she would also fax it to my doctor. I called her office yesterday, August 8 to confirm my doctor was sent the results by fax, because I didn't receive an email for my own copy. I called her office and explained that I have not received it and my doctors appointment is tomorrow, August 9. The office didn't send it yet.... read more
I have not yet seen the doctor. However I can tell you the office people are the absolute worst. They evidently don’t like getting referrals from other Doctors. My Insurance requires a referral from my primary care. They said they won’t call to get the referral because I am a new patient. I talked to a women named Charo. You would think they would be appreciative of the referral but they are not. I asked to speak to a supervisor and Charo said she didn’t have a supervisor. Of course, every employee has a supervisor and if an... read more
Dr. Borra sees my mother since 2016. The multiple origins of my mother's pains and the side effects of medications she took in the past were always big challenges during treatment. Dr. Borra has been efficient, compassionate, and patient treating my mother, who speaks no English and has severe hearing loss. My mother spends days and weeks with little pain and is grateful to be under Dr Borra's care. My mother (and I, as a caregiver) highly recommend Dr Borra.
Dr Borra is being my doc for a few years. She is very professional and knowledgeable; always busy with a lot of patient which tells how required she is a doctor. Every time I asked for something relating my health, she uses a language easy to understand; besides gives me some advices how I can improved my condition.
My wife had an unpleasant experience with Dr. Borra. When she came in the exam room she was very short and direct. She said there are two type of ALS, the good kind and the bad kind. You have the bad kind. Then told us we needed to make an appointment with USF ALS Clinic and walked out of the room with no compassion or further explanation of what ALS even was. Wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone. I'm sure she is "medically qualified" and she may be a very intelligent doctor but concept of how to deal with people.
