Beware of Sugar Mountain Lodging. We rented a vacation condo on January 19, 2011 in Banner Elk, NC and when we arrived they changed us to an inferior unit and claimed by the contract they can swith our units. The unit was ice cold and took 48 hours for the heat to kick in. Nothing worked. Many lightbulbs were not working. The dishes were dirty, scratchy cheap hotel towels.
