Excellent Vet I have taken my dogs to Sugar Land Vet Specialists and received excellent care. Dr. Noble and Dr. Douglass and their staff took great care of my dogs the both times I went to SLVS for different reasons. I highly recommend anyone to take their dogs to them since they will be well taken care of.
A fine job My dog Rocky was referred here to the emergency hospital because he had a major intestinal problem and my vet was getting ready to close. He had surgery that night and 2 days later he is doing very well and we're having to rein him in. It was a very stressful time for us and the doctors and staff there made it a much better situation for us. We appreciate them and they did a fine job.
Very honest I had my dog there for an emergency surgery and 3 days later she is doing great. What I really wanted to write about was the fact that I got a call from the manager today and she had found a mistake on my bill and wanted to refund me $300. What place of business do you know would do that? I was surprised and, of course, very happy about this. I think integrity and honesty is really important with both animal and human doctors and wanted to say that I will be back for any emergency my pets have.
A lot of money for nothing We took our cat into Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists after he suffered an acute seizure. One day later, we left with a $1100 bill and no answer as to what was wrong with our cat. We were given discharge instructions to go to our regular vet and a cardiology specialist to have labs drawn and ECG interpreted because they were unable to draw those labs or interpret the ECG there....at the "specialty" clinic. Thankful My dog is now 9 years old, and I have never had to go to the vet before for anything major... just shots. Then one day she was walking funny and by the end of the day she could not walk. My vet recommended Dr. Quick. I was impressed from the start. Everyone there was understanding and helpful. Dr. Quick and his staff were able to determine the problem, and, after surgery, she is now walking again. Considering I paid $120 for my dog, who I love, I wasn't sure what to think about the cost. Sugar Land Vet Specialists are kind and gentle... One of the other reviews mentioned that they were one of 2 in the lobby. I too was one of only 2 in the lobby and was getting a bit upset that I wasn't being waited on as promptly as I thought I should with their light load. Come to find out there were several other emergencies and the owners of those pets were not sitting in the lobby! Later I became one of those absent owners! If zero stars were possible, I would have given them that. Took my dog in with a laceration below her eye. When I arrived, there was only one other person there. I sat in the lobby for 15 minutes after filling out the paperwork. Then off to an exam room where I sat alone with my dog for over an hour without a single person coming in to say anything. Professional and loving Our old dog has had lots of liver trouble recently, and her regular vet sent us to Dr. Quick at SLVS for an ultrasound. Dr. Quick, the receptionist, and the techs who spoke with me and handled my dog were all courteous, professional, and very kind and gentle to my old girl. For specialty or emergency services, I'd go here again.
