Still Great Lamb – Used to go a bunch before the owner switch over. Loved the atmosphere and the food was clean, rich yet simple, and overall great. Went here last week and I was very pleased. Service was solid and the lamb was still very tender and rich. Wine selection is still top notch.
Excellent for special occasions – My husband and I were in town from Portland for our anniversary and had researched dinner spots ahead of time. On a Sunday evening, it was quiet, but the staff was still attentive and very pleasant. The food was above and beyond our expectations. For the level of service and quality of the food, we would have expected, and have in the past, paid twice as much at bigger name restaurants. excellent from start to finish – I love to eat but i hate to cook. I feel fortunate that i live in a city that has a lot of great places to eat. I have never written about a restaurant before but i feel compelled to write about "the goat". Often times i go out to eat and there is one course that doesn't measure up to the rest. Tasty Americana! – We had the most amazing hanger steak -- always go with the chef's recommendation: medium rare. Top to bottom -- a good experience! They treat their people well and it shows in the food and the service. I'd go back any time of the week, except Mondays -- they're closed.
Great Job Stumbling Goat!!! – My friend and I had the perfect meal at Stumbling Goat. She had the braised rabbit and I had the tenderloin which was served with fig - my fav! The new owners of the Stumbling Goat are doing great things with the menu, featuring the foods of the season and incorporating these seasonal fruits, vegtables throughout the menu. I'll have to come back soon before the Sugar Pie Pumpkin Risotto is gone. Yum! I love fall foods!
Quite Possibly the Best Restaurant in Seattle – Stumbling Goat Bistro was truly one of my most favorite dining experiences to date. The service was FABULOUS. Our waiter was knowledgeable, passionate about the food he serving, and just an overall jolly man. His joy for food was contagious. He was attentive but not over bearing. Wonderful, cozy and romantic. – Why is it that I am so good at reviewing places when we're out of town but I'm so lax when it comes to great spots in my own town? Everything was perfect – My husband and I felt instantly welcomed by the hostess and our waiter. He chose an excellent wine for us. Our meals were extremely tasty, perfectly seasoned, the meat perfectly cooked. My husband pointed out it's a good sign when you don't have to tell them how you want your meat, it just comes out right. Even though we were stuffed, we indulged in creme brulee and it was sublime. This is now one of our favorite restaurants.
Great Ambiance, Delicious Grub, and Fun Staff – Located on the main stretch of Phinney Ridge, The Stumbling Goat features some of the best comfort food in all of Seattle.
