I was a regular customer at the Waterloo, IA store for years since they opened their doors. The staff and managers used to competent, helpful, and always polite. In the last year or so, however, the quality of customer service at the Waterloo store has declined dramatically. Cashiers often make mistakes, consignment staff are often incompetent and rude, and so are managers. For a few years since the store started it operations in Waterloo, it was one of my favorite places to find unique antiques and retro/vintage deco and home items. I regularly sell items at Stuff Etc in Waterloo. The staff there is friendly and efficient, and they have a knack for knowing what items will or will not sell. I have already sold a number of items and have only been consigning there a few months.
I dont feel like I was fairly payed for my things, I kept hearing I have no balance over and over so I've given up. from now on I'll sell my stuff on Facebook marketplace
Purchased new winter boots 15 days ago. ($60) 1st day I wear them they break apart. Asked about partial refund as store credit even. First she said no because it's been 30 days. Then says Oh I mean 15 days. COLD! No longer my favorite place to shop for treasures. I am done.
