I have been seeing Dr. McSwain regularly for 13 years, since I started having arrhythmias. I feel quite lucky to have had him as my doctor. He is a kind man who patiently answers my questions in detail. My situation is under control and monitored without taking an invasive approach.
I was seen promptly and courteously by the staff at Virginia Heart. However, Dr. Rashid ran late and I had to wait in the exam room. (I was told that he was delayed at the hospital, which is reasonable.) When he got to the office, it was about 15-20 minutes late. Dr. Sheifer is always polite, respectful, insightful and explains medical conditions and treatments in a manner that is understood the first time. He is by far my best doctor! An absolute professional who cares about his patients!
Dr. Rashid literally saved my life. He successfully performed 2 ablations that fixed a complicated and drug resistant afib. He has a deep knowledge not only of electrophysiology, but also of the bigger medical picture. I have a complicated medical history stemming from a bone narrow transplant earlier in life. Listened to the health issue carefully. Then gave very clear recommendations for therapy and possible treatment. Did not pressure you into making hasty decisions.
It was easy scheduling and appointment and from the very beginning I felt confident trusting the professionalism of this practice. So grateful to have experienced such competent, thorough and attentive care from Dr. Maghsoudi and the entire staff.
Dr Maghsoudi cares. Not only is he totally competent as a cardiologist, he has special interpersonal and communication skills. For example, he explains complex medical conditions in understandable terms. I recommend him without reservations.
Dr. Sheifer was very attentive, answered all of my questions and was knowledgeable about my history despite this being my first appointment with him. I would highly recommend him.
