Located in Denver's Uptown neighborhood, the newly redecorated Strings has long been one of Denver's hippest restaurants. Great service and delicious, artful food attracts a 'tony' crowd of visiting celebrities, politicians and loyal locals. Popular and bustling with excitement, the dress code ranges from blue jeans to tuxedos in this casual, but elegant atmosphere. The menu focuses on new American cuisine, with creative noodle dishes and fresh seafood, like the cashew crusted sea bass with saffron couscous and vanilla beurr... read more

Liver & Onions, Penne Pasta, Salmon You name it! – I have been going to Strings since it first opened. I have never, ever had anything that I wasn't absolutely 100% satisfied with. The food is wonderful, service top cabin and a charming atmosphere. It is one of the few places in the world where you can dress to the nines and feel comfortable, or simply be driving down the street wearing shorts and sandals and stop in and feel perfectly comfortable. While reservations are strongly advised, who wouldn't wait in the charming ba... read more
One of my favorite restaurants – I just love dining at Strings. The food and service are always top notch. The owner, Noel Cunningham, is such a wonderful philanthropist and a terrific conversationalist. He always asks my children to go into the kitchen with him to make their own sundaes. My two kids adore Noel and my whole family loves going to Strings. Try the beef carpaccio and the drink specials.
A seasonal menu using fresh, local ingredients has kept this restaurant popular since the mid '80s. – In Short The bright dining room features huge windows and white walls splashed with colorful modern designs. Lawyers and socialites nosh and chat around the white-clothed tables. The seasonal menu features appetizers including crab cakes, carpaccio or a grilled artichoke. The signature entree is penne bagutta, served with chicken, mushrooms and creamy tomato sauce. Another standout entree is the pumpkin seed-crusted trout se... read more
Just amazing! – I went to Strings for the first time tonight, and was blown away by every aspect of my evening. Every staff member from the hostess to the wait staff and bussers, especially the manager, were concerned with everything being perfect, which it was. The service was outstanding, bread at the beginning was full of flavor, and everything on the menu looked great. I have the pasta special for the night and my date had Sea Bass, and both were out of this world. The prices are much lower than you would expect for bein... read more
Declining service & food – This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Denver but not anymore. The last few times we have been here, service was awful. At different meals the staff was rude, the meals items were brought out cold or at different times, the wait times between courses was over an hour, etc. The only thing constant is the terrible service. Call me crazy but when you order port with dessert, you actually expect it to be brought out with dessert- not when you get the bill. The food is also declining but is s... read more
The one. – Strings is perfect for entertaining out of town guests, good friends, or just a special dinner for the two of you. The food is superb, the wine list is one of the best in denver, the desserts are perfectly paired with after-dinner cordials. The service is attentive, but not stuffy. The ambience suits shorts or, well, suits. Explore new restaurants, try the latest food craze, but you will come back here for reliably the best and most consistent dining experience. And Noel and Tammy do it all for the love of serving... read more
Best gets better... – After so being open for so long you would think that Strings would be out of touch, not at all! I have not had such wonderfull food in so long. The Chicken sliders on the patio menu are heaven in my mouth! The Bartender is Cute as well as knowledgeable about the menu. I highly recomend this eatery to anyone who wants to see or be seen, or who wants just great food and service.
They just about had to roll us out! – Perfect! Everything we had was phenomenal. The ambiance was a little 80's old school with lots of black and white and less than spiffy bathrooms, but the food was so great that we'll be back! We are out-of- towners and don't even want to try something new. I know we'll leave comfortably full and completely satisfied again. The staff seemed to know a lot about wine and were very helpful. It felt like a great neighborhood retreat. The night we were there basketball celebs were in and no on... read more
Great Patio, Bar and Date place! – Heard about the new bar and patio menus and had to try - absolutely fabulous (everything under $10!) and had a great Friday night out with the girls a few weeks back. Went back for dinner with a date last week - he had the seabass, I had the bouillabase - and the pistachio salad - absolutely to die for. Service was amazing and so was the food - will be back again soon - highly recommended!
