Located in Denver's Uptown neighborhood, the newly redecorated Strings has long been one of Denver's hippest restaurants. Great service and delicious, artful food attracts a 'tony' crowd of visiting celebrities, politicians and loyal locals. Popular and bustling with excitement, the dress code ranges from blue jeans to tuxedos in this casual, but elegant atmosphere. The menu focuses on new American cuisine, with creative noodle dishes and fresh seafood, like the cashew crusted sea bass with saffron couscous and vanilla beurr... read more

Great bar menu – Even though the Meal Price is listed as $$$$, you can eat at Strings on a regular basis by enjoying the bar menu. You can even order off this menu sitting outside on the patio while people watching, but we do enjoy sitting in the bar when Chris (or it could be Kris) is bartending. She is friendly, personable, and mixes great drinks. A personal favorite is the Beef Carpaccio, which is served on a chilled glass block. I don't know if it's the presentation or just a better cut of beef, but it's my favorite Carp... read more
Classic Denver Dining – A nice dining experience starts with a well-made cocktail and Strings doesn't disappoint. Their bar staff know what they're doing, excellent drinks with a smile. The atmosphere is fun and lively with excellent food. Don't miss the carpaccio appetizer, both the presentation and the taste are fantastic. Service was smooth, timely and friendly with attentive bus staff supporting knowledgeable servers. Strings has been a fun place to go in Denver for literally decades and in the restaurant business that k... read more
A Valentine's Disappoinment – My boyrfiend and I went to Strings on Valentine's Day based on a few recommendations. I'm thinking people who have enjoyed this restaurant have been here before when it was not a holiday. When we first got there we waited at the bar until our table was ready. The bartender said they would send a waitress over to serve us, but no one showed. The service the rest of the evening was similiar. We only saw our waitress twice, there was no overview of the menu, and our wine took almost as long as our ... read more
Boring and Over-priced – Very boring food. VERY over-priced pre-fixed menu for holiday. I would not recommend it to anyone.
Liver & Onions, Penne Pasta, Salmon You name it! – I have been going to Strings since it first opened. I have never, ever had anything that I wasn't absolutely 100% satisfied with. The food is wonderful, service top cabin and a charming atmosphere. It is one of the few places in the world where you can dress to the nines and feel comfortable, or simply be driving down the street wearing shorts and sandals and stop in and feel perfectly comfortable. While reservations are strongly advised, who wouldn't wait in the charming ba... read more
One of my favorite restaurants – I just love dining at Strings. The food and service are always top notch. The owner, Noel Cunningham, is such a wonderful philanthropist and a terrific conversationalist. He always asks my children to go into the kitchen with him to make their own sundaes. My two kids adore Noel and my whole family loves going to Strings. Try the beef carpaccio and the drink specials.
A seasonal menu using fresh, local ingredients has kept this restaurant popular since the mid '80s. – In Short The bright dining room features huge windows and white walls splashed with colorful modern designs. Lawyers and socialites nosh and chat around the white-clothed tables. The seasonal menu features appetizers including crab cakes, carpaccio or a grilled artichoke. The signature entree is penne bagutta, served with chicken, mushrooms and creamy tomato sauce. Another standout entree is the pumpkin seed-crusted trout se... read more
Just amazing! – I went to Strings for the first time tonight, and was blown away by every aspect of my evening. Every staff member from the hostess to the wait staff and bussers, especially the manager, were concerned with everything being perfect, which it was. The service was outstanding, bread at the beginning was full of flavor, and everything on the menu looked great. I have the pasta special for the night and my date had Sea Bass, and both were out of this world. The prices are much lower than you would expect for bein... read more
Declining service & food – This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Denver but not anymore. The last few times we have been here, service was awful. At different meals the staff was rude, the meals items were brought out cold or at different times, the wait times between courses was over an hour, etc. The only thing constant is the terrible service. Call me crazy but when you order port with dessert, you actually expect it to be brought out with dessert- not when you get the bill. The food is also declining but is s... read more
