RecommendedI took my Grandson for the train experience and he chose to ride in the dining car. The waitress could not have been more pleasant. The train was half hour late on departure (11am) due to an issue with our car. I certainly understand that these are circumstances that are beyond your control so we just patiently waited and the waitress starting taking our lunch orders. We had a Wonderful Experience and would encourage parents and grandparents to take their children to the railroad.
American / Pennsylvania history at it's best. Have been coming here since I was a kid. Never disappointed.
The Strasburg Train was a disappointing waste of money. Got here on 3/17/18 for the 11:00am train. Waited 30 minutes to get a ticket (paper ticket as I prepurchased online). Got on the train and waited another 40 minutes for the train to start, with no explanation to what was happening. Once the train started, the tour guide’s voice was barely heard, but his presentation was not interesting and was full of sarcasm “this is the closest some of you might get to paradise”. Would NOT recommend as it is a slow, uneventful ride.

Lovely trip on a historic train. So worth it. And the train museum across the street turned it into a day trip. Perfect outing.
Great experience for a family trip I would recommend for anybody to go and experience it
Could have been longer but was a good time dining car was cool
First off I want to say I have been coming here literally forever while I missed the steampunk Unlimited Events that my wife and I and a lot of people really enjoyed and I know due to unforeseen circumstances they can no longer continue I still frequent the train and ride the open-air car religiously because is my favorite I love smelling the burning of the locomotive the coal and I did the Long John Express and a lot of other things but the one thing that always and will always annoy people is how rotten kids scream and stu... read more
Hosted our son’s birthday on the birthday car. Alicia was great to work with and the whole staff at Strasburg went out of their way to make our day special. We’ll be back again this spring.
