I think I would have loved it more had I got there in not been rushed due to my time restrictions. Kids loved the train and the Amish plowing their crop. Great eye opener to how other live. Thank you for the memories. Will be back. Thank you to the "breakman" whom retrieved my daughter slinky. :)
They're working hard to preserve a piece of American history. Great organization in which to volunteer or donate.
Great place to take family especially the little ones. The museum was filled with railroad locomotives and passenger cars. The one hour ride on the steam powered engine was wonderful.
I have been coming to Strasburg and riding the train for years. Rolling through the local farmland and the gentle rocking of the coach car, truly is my happy place. Takes the stress of city life away. Also happy to share it with my 8 year old son. Love it here!!
Took my family to the Strasburg RR during a trip to Lancaster, PA. It was great fun! I remember visiting Strasburg when I was a boy years ago, and my two sons enjoyed it just as much as I did when I was a kid. The train museum is most definitely worth seeing, and the train ride is fun for all.
I visited with my father when I was really little. Over the weekend, my bf and I stayed over at The Clarion Inn in Strasburg and I suggested we visit so I could photograph the trains. Right away my bf wanted to take a ride on the train and bought two first class tickets. It was a very beautiful relaxing ride and afterwards we browsed through the museam. I highly recommend any historian or family with small children to visit.
The ride on the Presidential cart was very nice. My girlfriend and I had a good time on the train n museum. A little disappointed of the sceneries. Nothing exciting to see.
The best tourist railroad on the planet, and the best people, too.
Great trip. I would recommend it to everyone. The ride and museum. Were exceptional.
