The Santa was nice but very short and skinny. For the money spent the train ride was very short and one of the worst looking Santas I have seen. My local mall Santa is more realistic. I cant believe how much they make per short ride and thats the best Santa they can get.
While I recommend the Strasburg Rail Road as a whole, I would no longer recommend the Santa train experience. Santa this year was RUDE and took no time with the children. As he walked into our car, my excited son jumped up. Santa ignored him and fussed to the photographer, “How are we doing this?! I’ve got two more cars! Make this quick!” It totally ruined how my son saw Santa, and now for the rest of this year, I’m going to have to play damage control. My family came for the ride with Santa train at 10:15 and I am just writing to express my disappointment with the Santa that was on our experience. He barely interacted with our group and we had 3 children in our group and did not take any time to speak to the kids. He came by, snapped a picture and was off. We were on a different train ride last year with Santa (not Strasburg) and the experience was much different. I understand there are a lot of people that Santa needs to get through on the ride but the train was not full.... read more
Last years Christmas dinner train , it was terrible, they were 40 minutes late, food was horrendous, my wife got twice my portions and hers was small, then along the train rt , no decorations at all last year, just a train ride in the dark. It was ok in the past but after last year and listening to apologies from there staff for hours, they should have just refunded our money it was terrible.
