Absolutely awful experience. I reached out to Stony Brook Psychiatry back in January looking to make an appointment for anxiety and very deep depression. There was a 5 month wait to see a doctor, and when I finally did, he brushed me aside after the second appointment and told me I would be a much better fit with another doctor that I would AGAIN have to wait 5 months to see…I’m not sure how you basically turn someone who is suffering away with zero answers and tell them they have to wait another 5 months to get any help at ... read more

Response to their response - this just goes to show how terrible they are as I ALREADY filed a complaint with them and got equally blown off there too. I was just in the process of switching from one therapist to another. She scheduled the appointment for me with the new therapist and when the day came there was no email link for the session. When I checked my portal there was no appointment scheduled. When I contacted the therapist I was just with she blew me off (again) with "if you need scheduling help call the front desk... read more

I needed help. Instead I was asked to get lab results from docs,other docs,sent away with no treatment,no medication,no advice. When therapist called back it was to tell me I had to get results in a “darker” ink because she couldn’t read it. She should have called lab that sent it. I’m not a secretary and I needed mental health therapy desperately. Now they keep sending messages that cannot be responded to,not accepted.
