Best Service - Best Steaks in Atlanta – My favorite place to eat in Atlanta. The Service is outstanding and the Steaks are to die for. I highly recommend Stoney River for all occasions.
Stoney River takes the steak! – Stoney River is by far my favorite restaurant of all time. It has the best steaks i have tasted and at such an affordable price. My personal favorites to get are either the lodge fillet or the legendary. The steaks actually melt in your mouth. The natural taste of the steak is not lost by any means. SR-1 – The food at Stoney River is unmatched in Atlanta. The only drawback is there is always a long wait. If I recall they don't take reservations. Garrison's fare is just about as good.
The best in the 'burbs – Great quality steak and value. Long wait times can be frustrating but worth it!
Fine Food without a perfect price – Used to come just for the sushi, but they stopped selling sushi and I found I was missing the best steak - beyond Bones and Ruth Chris!!! I have never had something I did not like, and the prices for this level of quality are very good!
Not What I Was Led to Believe – Crowded does not equal cozy. I would have preferred waiting an extra half hour to be able to sit reasonably close to the table. As it was I was squeezed out. Both my steak and my wifes steak were cooked incorrectly. The vegatables were excellent. Others at my table were happier with there entree than I was. Chris was excellent host even though I could not hear a word he said. He smiled through it all and that is important. The person next to me passed on important things I missed.
HOSTESSES ARE THE MOSTESSES – Not only is Stoney River a premier steakhouse, they have without question the prettiest, best dressed, most gracious, genuinely refined, and intricately trained hostesses of any restaurant in metro Atlanta. We are speaking specifically of the Stoney River on Alpharetta Road in Roswell. Even if you're a vegetarian, you owe it to yourself to experience what the ultimate hostessing is all about!
Really is good – I love this place. It really does have delicious food. I never would have guessed as the outside looks so cheesy. They have great wine too.
From the first glass of wine, bite of the poppyseed rolls with cinnamon sweetened butter, the crab dip, to the best NY strip in town, every bite melts in your mouth, and the garlic mashed potatoes compliment the juicy steak to a tee. Well worth the trip outside the perimeter.
