Excellent Food - A bit Pricey Great atmosphere - even better food. The clam chowder is excellent as well as the butterfly shrimp. We go here as often as our budget allows - Stockyard can be on the pricey side. Every meal we've had has been worth it though.
Repeat patron at the Stockyard Lots of room both at tables and the bar, the service is prompt and friendly, and the food is good. I usually get the chicken pot pie (very tasty), and it's also great because it's a large portion and I can bring the rest home for later. I recommend this restaurant.
Great Value – I really enjoy The Stockyard. The food is good, the prices are right and the portions are big. The atmosphere is very enjoyable as well. I have had a few experiences with the service being slow.
Great spot I truly enjoyed my lunch when zI visited the stockyard. The Chowder was fantastic and the rest of the meal was great as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Delicious Prime Rib – I love the Stockyard. I went with my girlfriend one night and while we were waiting to be seated, we had a few drinks at the bar and some appetizers. The bartender was a really cool, funny guy and the clam chowder was really good. When we were seated, I ordered the prime rib, my girlfriend got the filet mignon. Unsavory food, unprofessional waiter – I used to be a loyal diner at stockyard. It is not the capital grille but I was willing to sacrifice the side dishes and services for some good prime rib. After tonight I will make sure to tell everyone I know to not go there. It was possibly the worst dining experience of my life. Best lobster pie anywhere!!!! – In my opinion the Stockyard is one of the best restaurants in the area. I've been going there since I was a kid. It has a very cozy and comfortable atmosphere, not pretentious at all. Most of the time I get the lobster pie...which is outstanding!!! Overrated – I looked at the menu online before driving out there and from the looks of it, and prices, it looked good. We got there and were rudely/barely greeted. We asked the waitress for a drink menu and she just gave me an attitude and asked me what I wanted because they didn't have a drink menu.
