We knew going in that the food would be way over priced due to a high traffic tourist area in mid summer. No matter though, the food was outstanding. Steamed lobsters, mussels, and great chowder with a Sam Adams hit the spot. Waitress was on her game and took great care of us. View is great too and your paying for it. A nice splurge.
I do not eat fish but there half baked chicken is unbelievable. My son loved the lobster
So I arrive at Bar Harbor for the night and walked over to Stewmans.. I sat at the outside bar and ordered a glass of "house white" and steamers. The house wine came in a small glass ( not a wine glass ) and it was filled less than 1/2 way. After about 20 minutes the steamers came out. It didn't look like to me the (POUND) which is offered on the menu and several shells had nothing in them. Overall, I wasn't really happy with it considering the bill was 30$. The best part of the experience was the outside location. O well!
Way over priced, mediocre food, service was good
Sat outside overlooking the harbor. Fried clams were excellent. My wife had the lobster Cobb salad-- she enjoyed it but not much lobster meat. Pricing is competitive for location, etc.
