We go to bar Harbor all the time and Iv always wanted to try stewmans, I'm glad we did, it was good food and good portions! My only issue was that it was a dog friendly restaurant and we didn't run into a single dog. Not one! �����
Average seafood in a seafood town. Nothing I would think about this place to recommend it to a friend. Average is my best description.
Beware of credit card fraud. An additional $40 was added on to the tip after we left the restaurant. We discovered the overcharge a few weeks later on our cc statement. The restaurant manager seemed apathetic about our complaint. Another time, the waitress forgot to put our order in to the kitchen, but that didn't stop her nasty attitude when we asked about the long wait for the food.
I had fried clams and John had fried scallops which were spectacular! Golden and crunchy and hot as they were delivered to the table! I highly recommend this establishment! The staff welcoming and attentive, the drinks, top notch!!
