Frank Whale and George Ruder established the Stevens Point Brewery in the year 1857. Located on Water Street, it remains one of the earliest privately run breweries in America. Ciderboys Mad Bark and Point Classic Amber are some of its in-house brews.

I really love point amber lager! I was hooked on burly brown ale, but that beer ran it's coarse!
This place has an AMAZING tour! Worth the trip! The guides make it fun AND informative...
Great tour and awesome products. The staff really does a superb job making you feel at home and educating about their process.
Only in Wisconsin... See a pickup in a parking lot fiddling with their GPS, figure that they must be going to the brewery, follow them almost there until they make a wrong turn, meet them at the gift shop at 11:30 Sunday morning for a brewery tour, pay $5 for a tour with a 1:2 guide to guest ratio with three "sample" beers plus extras for trivia questions and an etched-glass pint glass. It just doesn't get any better than this!
Full bodied and satisfying! Good beer flavor. Wish we had it in our state.
Had a nice tour with Tanner, who recommended we try Hill Top Pub & Grill for lunch. We are there now, having lunch. :)
I thought the tour was exceptional! Along with their fine beer, the Point folks have wonderful hospitality! The brewery was very clean which stuck out to me right away. I even learned quite a bit about the beer making process, and why it's done the way it is at Point beer, as well as some other interesting things I had no idea about! Hats off to you Point Brewing! CHEERS!
Great tour! We also took advantage of putting our own label on for an event. Very helpful staff and responsive. They turned out great.
I was looking for a release date for Nude Beach and can't find one. Say it ain't so. Please? I'll give that fifth star if it's going to be available this summer.
