Frank Whale and George Ruder established the Stevens Point Brewery in the year 1857. Located on Water Street, it remains one of the earliest privately run breweries in America. Ciderboys Mad Bark and Point Classic Amber are some of its in-house brews.

My absolute favorite brewery. They craft some of the best flavored beers I've ever tasted. And I'm an outspoken beer snob haha! Try their Snow Pilot Pistachio Nut Brown Ale!

Nathan was our tour guide. He seemed nervous, but was very informative... It's $5 per person, you get 3 samples of your choice, which end up being a pint and a half (12 cups or 3 4oz cups) and you also get a Point Brewery pint glass as a free gift... So your actually only paying for the pint glass, and get to tour and drink for free... Very cool!!!

I go to Pointoberfest every Sep. and it's always a fun time. Lots of good beer on tap.
