Dr. Lewitton is originally from South Africa but grew up in Kansas City. He first moved to Austin in 1991 to attend college at the University of Texas. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with High Honors from UT in 1995, and then moved to Dallas where he attended medical school at the Univerity of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. L keeps me out of the hospital and in great health to enjoy life at 75.
This man is very caring and very good. His staff is also very professional with great bedside manners. I have been very blessed to have Dr. Lewitton as my cardiologist.
Dr. Lewitton comes prepared to the meeting/appointment. He is a patient listener to any new symptoms and details I may tell him which he then incorporates into a plan of action, if needed, for improvement of the symptoms/situation. I find all the staff to be very responsive and easy to work with.

I was pleased how well Dr. Lewitton listened to my concerns and did not seem to be in a hurry to be done. Not the expected in this day and age,
I am a new patient that just moved to Austin, but have been treated by a cardiologist for some time. Dr. Lewitton welcomed me, carefully went through my history and reviewed my file from my previous cardiologist, as well as asking him for more information. He outlined a treatment plan and we are in the process of executing that plan.
Very professional and knowledgeable. He takes the time to answer questions and doesn’t rush through the appointment.
