I saw Dr. Katz several years ago for a cataract surgery that could not be done locally. I have RP, he was one of a few that would consider it with this diagnosis. I was able to remain on my job, since retired, but I still am able to function. Ruthanne Thornsberry

I had to come see Dr. Katz after my previous Neuro-opthalmologist retired. Dr. Katz is absolutely fantastic and has really taken good care of me in the short time ive seen him. If you are unable to see him, the clinic is willing to work with you during an emergency situation to see someone else.
After going to Midwest Retina several times over the past few years, I was finally referred to a Dr. Katz, who is a much better Dr. He knew what my issue was within 30 minutes of entering his office.
Today I had my 4th or 5th appointment with Dr. Katz. Once again as in all previous appointments, I had to wait close to 3 hours beyond my appointment time to actually see the doctor. I told him today that I cannot trust or respect a doctor who doesn't respect me and my time. I understand that emergencies can come up, but it has been this long wait for all appointments I've had with him. Because of my displeasure, all follow-up appts. will be with a different doctor at the institute.
