It has taken me 24 years to write this review. I don’t know why it has taken this long, other than to say my husband is at a UPMC hospital today having surgery and it reminded me of everything I went through with Dr. Conti. I had shattered my ankle in a car accident and suffered many surgeries from 1998-2001 to try to fix it. The fractures were fused however severe arthritis set in. My family has no experience with this surgeon, however I was attempting to find the surgeon that my mother was scheduled with and pressed the extension to reach Dr. Conti and his administrative assistant. She was rude and arrogant when I explained my situation and treated me like I was a idiot for pressing her extension. If you need foot attention, Dr. Conti and his fantastic team are there from diagnosis, surgery (if required), and recovery. Superb care and team. Beyond words, how great they are.
After having a surgery performed by him in 2020, I was told some people are allergic to the dissolvable stitches. Fast forward to 2022 when I had another consult with him for a new surgery. I asked if he could use different dissolvable stitches since apparently I was allergic to them and he said “yes.” The morning of my surgery I was asked by 3 different people what I was allergic to and I said “the dissolvable stitches used in my prior surgery here.” I also remembered telling him during the second he popped in prior to whee... read more
