my favorite excellent food, excellent service love the new location. Heather and Steve as always out do themselves to make everything great.
village eater Went to Stephanos on Market Street this past weekend. Food great as always. Service good once seated. Blonde owner rude and unfriendly as always. Multiple people walked out while waiting because no one spoke with them or they had reservations and were told by owner sorry she was still seating hour before. Would help a lot if a separate hostess would greet you , take name and update you and at least thank you for coming.
My favorite! In response to the people complaining about the small size of the restaurant, I think that's what so great about the place. It's so intimate. Often we end up having a conversation with the next table over. And in regards to the "rude" hostess/waitress, I find her to be friendly and efficient. Love it I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. Can??t wait until they reopen at their new location, although the food is so good, I could really care less where I sit and eat it. Hoping to hire them to cater my upcoming wedding. For some-it??s the dress that matters, others-the location, but for me-it??s definitely the FOOD! Getting Stephano??s booked for this will be the jumping off point for my big day. So, if it??s not at all obvious to readers yet: eat there. I wish they had a website to share with my guests :) Heidi
Stephano's Ristorante Six of us went here for dinner. The food is good but sorry to say not great and not worth the pricey tag. The one thing my friends and I always talk about when we talk about this place is how we won't forget how rude the hostess and staff was. It is horribly small. It really, desperately needs major renovations. I felt like I was in an old run down basement.
Awesome Food! Stephano's is the "Best Kept Secret" in the Hudson Valley. Tucked away off of Rte 9 on Middlebush, what a find! The food is amazing, no matter what I have ordered I have never been less than amazed. I am used to driving to the Bronx to Arthur Ave, to get authentic Italian cooking. SAVE THE GAS!!
