Over the years, my practice has assembled a strong team to care for the broad needs of our patients; also, we have invested heavily in technology to improve patient care. This "Patient Centered Medical Home" model improves access to preventative care and chronic disease management through a holistic approach. Passionate about this approach, I help other doctors in the community adopt this model and I teach Brown medical students so that they can improve our healthcare system in the future.

Dr Steinmetz listens respectfully and is clear in his discussion of my health markers. I always feel he is taking good care of me.
Dr. Steinmetz in my opinion is a highly competent medical doctor. I am a male, 65 year old and I had been a patient of his for about 5 years. He always impressed me as an adept diagnostician unlike my previous PCP and I always felt Dr. Steinmetz had my best interests in mind. Dr Steinmetz has been mine and my children practitioner for over a decade now. He has a calming voice and demeanor good listener. When The kids were little I could bring all three kids at once and be seen(before covid). Myself with my hyper verbal complaints and my toddler and infant did not phase him in the least. I have been a patient of Dr. Steinmetz for several years. I am a 60 year old male with pre-existing conditions. I have had annual physical exams for more than 40 years. Prior to Dr. Steinmetz, my doctor would conduct an EKG, digital rectal exam (DRE) and order lab work each year. At my annual physical exam in 2020, Dr. Steinmetz did not conduct an EKG or order any lab work at all. Dr. Steinmetz only conducted a DRE at my insistence. very nice, BUT the wait is SUPER LONG and this doctor thinks he can cure everything himself- he does not like it when you as for a referral - a medical megalomaniac.
Extremely satisfied. He has taken the time to call me on many occasions. He is a good listener.
Dr. Steinmetz is a warm and caring human being and a compassionate, considerate physician. He works very hard for his patients and has to put up with the likes of me besides! He treats both my wife of 45 years and me and has never failed to be courteous and considerate even when I, with bipolar giftedness (!) might try his patience! He provided me with excellent care.
I saw the doctor for several years, and was disappointed time and again. It didn't seem there was much interest in my health, and the primary focus was on making money. Frequent appointments were pushed, and an attempt was made for the same referral more than once. Maybe he did all he could; however, I didn't get the impression there was much communication from him or his staff as to the status of my health. I felt left in the dark.
