Eating History If you are as big a fan of Steinbeck as I am then you will love visiting Salinas and going to the Steinbeck museum and eating at the Steinbeck House. What I loved most about it is that it is the house that Steinbeck was born and raised in. It is such an experience to be in the house eating lunch where Steinbeck could have taken his first step right under your chair. The history is amazing and it would be horrible to miss such a great historical experience and such excellent food.
Historic Lunch Experience After living in Salinas for 24 years, I have never been to the Steinbeck house. This was my first time and I have to say that I am impressed. Great food quality, historic ambiance, friendly customer service, and very good prices for the quality. You get more than you pay for. A meal is about $10-$12 without a drink and dessert is only $4.
