I called Steck to give me a bid on my roof ( they replaced the existing roof in 2001). I had also contacted 2 other roofers. Each of the other 2 came out and said I had hail damage. I signed with company xyz to work with my insurance. On the day a rep from xyz was at my home along with an insurance adjuster, a man (I assume was Mr. *****) pushed into my home and started yelling at me that I did not want to deal with xyz. I have been working with this business for the last 2-3 years now to keep my roof in proper working order. This year, I had them out twice to fix repairs, once in July and once in November on the 15th. I was under the impression that both times, when I had called ***** to come out it would be them doing the repairs. However, I found out that it was a subcontractor of theirs named Mark ******. Hired Steck Roofing for my new home. The owner gave me a great price for what we needed and the work was outstanding and quick. Definitely got my money's worth and will be referring him to family and friends.

Steck came to give me a bid on my house roofs of about $9000. He said he would be back in 1 week, he did not. I called him several times a week for about 3-4 weeks when I called the BBB and complained. He finally called and I told him I hired someone else. He said I was "nuts"

He does not know how to conduct business. He is extremely rude & disrespectful by hanging up on the customer. He also let's his wife hang up on customers. He does not return phone calls, but will tell you he will call back in an hour, and you won't talk to him for hours or even days. You have to hunt him down to get any information. That's unprofessional & unnecessary. He was paid for the work he completed. But there is still working that needs to be done. If you have the time for the games then choose him.

The worst customer service ever!!!!!The roof may look good when you get it but if you have a problem you may not get it resolved because the owner does not want to discuss it and will hang up on you!!! I had read this from a previous cust but I chose to ignore it. My boss over heard him talking to me on the phone and could not believe how rude he was. I decide d to turn my complaint over to a lawyer and I plan on going to small claim court because I dont want to deal with someone who is not professional and rude! I sugguest ... read more

**** ***** gave me a bid $2200 less than the next cheapest competitor. He knew i was under a time crunch (needed it done to close sale of my house) He showed up over labor day weekend and installed new roof. I dont believe any other roofer would have met this timeline without adding additional cost. He was very pleasant and professional, as were his employees. Matt also went out of his way to secure a contractor for me to install a new chimney cahse cover in a timely manner. I would highly reccomend him to all my friends.
