The clam chowder and fish and chips was really good hit the spot!
Food was great the building is an architectural marvel. Fun anticipating a train!
The Prime Rib was the best I've ever had. It wasn't all day. 98% meat. The clam chowder wa excellent. My husband loved the Rattlesnack pasta. The only. Drawback was they served the Wiskey bread pudding cold. It's better hot like we always had it before. We told the waitress it was cold & they only charged us for 1. Th waitress was very cordial & friendly. Our favorite place.
Food was good especially the clam chowder. The "bulkie" rolls used on their sandwiches are a bit underwhelming. Coleslaw has too much sweet stuff in it. Service was so so for such a slow day. Good location for trainspotters.

I don't live in the immediate area but it is a nice drive to the Steaming Tender. We have been several times, the summer is nice to get "fast food" and ice cream and sit outside and wait for a train. Great place to eat and enjoy the decor of days long gone at the railroad depot. There was three of us on a busy Sat. night, less than 10 min. wait (worth it), lovely waitress who was very attentive to our needs.
